Our new favoutite rosé. Up-market elegant and classic Provence. Very pale and interesting. We originally tasted a previous vintage of this wine in February 2014 and loved it.
This delicious, fine and delicate Côtes de Provence Rosé is made mainly from the local Provençal grape variety Tibouren, together with some Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Mourvedre. The grapes (organic) are harvested at night and taken to their state of the art winery where the fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks.
Most growers now use Grenache as the Tibouren can be susceptable to coulure (‘shatter/flower drop’) whereby grapes fail to develop after flowering, which means you could easily have no crop.
