Bernard Latour’s 20 hectare domaine is one of the most important in the southern Rhône.
When not making wine he teaches at the local wine school.
The wine is made with no finings at all (so is suitable for vegans) and just a light filtration to produce a full flavoured, old fashioned, rich and spicy wine. It is also certified organic.
The minimum of messing means this is a very pure wine. To test the theory for you, I (David) drank a bottle and a half one night and woke with a clear head- at 14.5% two bottles would have been irresponsible.
