We’ve being studiously avoiding Napa but finally caved in when Trefethen wines became available in the UK again after a gap of a few years.
Trefethen is a small family winery and was one of the first dozen or so wineries in the Napa valley. Their holdings are in the sweet spot of Oak Knoll District.
Trefethen won the ‘best Chardonnay in the world’ at the judgement of Paris in 1976 and haven’t been slacking since.
