Orange wine? No, not old oxidised wine but an exciting new category.
White wine is made from red or white grapes which are gently pressed and the juice fermented.
Red wine is made from red grapes which are crushed and the juice fermented on the skins (same for rose but the wine is racked off after about 24 hours for a paler colour)
“Orange” wine is made the same way as red wine but using white grapes. It’s not a white wine but it isn’t red in colour.
