Burgozone is a boutique family winery perched on the slopes of the Danube river in Northern Bulgaria, overlooking the island of Esperanto. Fun fact, Burgozone is named after the Roman fortress built on the ancient Roman road Via Istrum. As an independent grower-producer they produce a modern and elegant style of Bulgarian wines.
Côte du Danube Viognier is full of the textbook character of apricot fromage frais and peach fruit. Great balance and texture.
(It’s vegan too if that’s important.)
