Château La Petite Roque is the second wine of Château Monconseil-Gazin, based in the village of Plassac just outside Blaye. The Baudet family have produced wine here over five generations since 1894.
The rich limestone soils of the estate are free draining and perfect for grape growing.
This a lighter claret, perfect for summer, with ripe fruits complimented by soft woody tones and hints of violet on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a perfect balance of fruit, well-structured tannins and a refreshing, non-drying finish.
This larger size format makes a super gift or dinner party centrepiece.
