Château Laurou is located just outside Toulouse, in the heart of the Fronton appellation. Owner Guy Salmona made the jump from data engineering to winemaking in order to properly devote himself to La Négrette, the region’s unique black grape.
This really is his showcase of all the grape does well, made from a tiny, single vineyard plot with a phenomenally low yield.
Full of violet, blackcurrant and blackberry with more than a hint liquorice and spice. Beautifully balanced and well structured, as you’d expect from a wine with so much love put into it.
All of Guy’s wines are certified organic and vegan, too.
