Château Laurou is located just outside Toulouse, in the heart of the Fronton appellation. Owner Guy Salmona made the jump from data engineering to winemaking in order to properly devote himself to La Négrette, the region’s unique black grape.
His cuvee Tradition is made up of predominantly (55% – the AOC requires 50-70%) this variety, which with the right care and attention yields elegant, well structured wines with floral aromas. It’s completed with the addition of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose, it’s full of spice, violets and red fruit, and has a round, harmonious taste with a persistent finish.
It is also certified organic and vegan.
