Fruit for the Chianti Mediceo is sourced by Alberto Antonini from the western Chianti area, with a large portion of the blend coming from the hills around Florence.
Made primarily from Sangiovese (as it must be!), this wine displays all the freshness, vibrancy and red fruit characters typical of the region.
Bright cherry fruit aromas combine with hints of chocolate and balsamic vinegar. On the palate, the fruit is supported by fine-grain tannins. The finish is savoury with a hint of minerality.
