Young Lionel Faury produces stunning wines and has elevated his 17 hectare family domaine to the top of the first division of growers in both red and white. A champion of ‘joutes’ (imagine a cross between jousting and water polo), his determination shows in his fine Condrieu.

‘La Berne,’ named after the previous owners of the land and referring to the specific plot where Lionel’s father first planted vines, is wonderfully elegant and precise whilst maintaining a richness in texture. This really is a rare treat, and a ridiculously good price as we bought it as a bin end.
