Situated in the region of Valdobbiadene in the Veneto region. This small, family run 10 hectare estate was founded by Renzo Frassinelli in the 1960s. Today his children Gianluca, an oenologist, and Roberta run the property. Gianluca and Roberta’s enthusiasm and winemaking ability sing out from every bottle.
Rosé prosecco is a very new thing – in fact this is the first official Prosecco DOC Rosé, finally approved by the Consorzio Tutela del Prosecco. Many prosecco producers have made a pink fizz before, but it’s never been classed as prosecco.
Made from Glera and between 10-15% Pinot Noir, the yield is restricted to 18 tons/hectare for Glera and 13.5 tons/hectare for the Pinot Noir.
It’s “millesimato” (or vintage) and at least 85% of the grapes must come from the specified year.
