A Catholic monastery making wines since 1673 (in a place with vineyards dating back to the 12th century), extreme terroir in some of the northernmost vineyards in Europe, and a young Australian winemaker (the only one in this neck of the woods) with big ideas: mix it all together and you have Kloster Ebernach.
This is Riesling as you’ve never had it before, Riesling that’s spent 100 days on skins. Masses of texture (careful as you pour as it’s dropped sediment!) but at the same time such a pure Riesling flavour shines through. Truly experimental and truly unique.
