The Vendee is probably better known for its seafood and camp sites than it is for its wines. This is a rare treat then. An unusual but wonderful mix of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay gives weight and fresh aromatic fruit. The 2020 vintage is as fresh as a daisy.
Probably best with chicken and rich fish dishes rather than Moules Frites.
We were trying to translate the name and the best we could come up with was The Thatched Vineyard which is a bit unlikely. Any better suggestions?
