Two brave Lebanese brothers, aided by Dominique Hebrard from Bordeaux and Frédéric & Daniel Brunier of Vieux Télégraphe, one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s top domains, have created a superb old-world style wine.
Le Columbier is a fresh, thirst-quenching wine for everyday drinking, distinguished by hints of spice and pepper. It should be drunk young to fully enjoy its fruit.
It is made with Cinsault 35%, Grenache Noir 35%, Syrah 15%, Tempranillo 15%.
(This wine replaces Massaya Classic Red, and has much in common with it, although it is a slightly different blend of grapes.)
