Melnik 55 Logodaj

Logodaj Winery is located in the very heart of the beautiful valley along the Struma River in South Western Bulgaria. The winery was built in 1994 with the aim of producing harmonious, multi-layered and complex wines, focusing on the local indigenous grape varieties of Struma Valley.

Melnik 55, aka ‘Early Melnik’ is the signature red indigenous grape variety of the region, and was reportedly a favourite of Sir Winston Churchill. This is a very harmonious and well-balanced wine with attractive black cherry and forest fruit notes. It’s rich and savoury with additional notes of tobacco and red pepper, juicy acidity and a long finish.
