Clean and crisp alternative to Muscadet with a little bit of ‘frizz’ to excite the tongue. Grown of hillsides cooled by the Mediterranean breezes.
In 2014 there was a LOT of rain during harvest with 3 feet of water in some vineyards. 50% of the crop was lost. We had to stock an alternative but now we are back with La Croix Gratiot. Fresh as a daisy with discernible fresh grape juice.
Unfortunately the cost has gone up a bit – probably to try to recover some of the massive losses from the previous year. After being the same price for a few years it has had to go up by 50p – not a lot.
