The cellier Saint Sidoine has been producing wines since the early 1920s, at which time the cooperative was known as the “Pugétoise” after the Puget-Ville, the village within the Var where it is located.
In 1987, it was re-named after the Puget-Ville’s 11th Century Sidoine tower which overlooks the vineyards.
Fun fact, Sidoine was a man born blind, healed by Jesus who came to Provence to preach. (Sid Owen, on the other hand, plays Ricky in Eastenders)
This Côtes de Provence is a beautiful fresh offering with more weight of soft strawberry fruit than most and a touch of honeysuckle.
