The Goose Cabernet Sauvignon

We recently tasted this wine at our friend and supplier Daniel Lambert’s inaugural portfolio tasting. We already stocked The Goose Shiraz, and were equally impressed with their Cabernet Sauvignon – it’s no mean feat for a South African to impress us, let alone to do it twice!

The Goose Cabernet Sauvignon has a brilliant purple colour with a sweet nose of blackberries and hints of tobacco leaves, ripe tannins and a long, layered finish. It is a well-balanced, soft and fruitful wine.

This is a wine to pair with hearty, meaty dishes – it has enough grunt to match spicy food perfectly.

Jancis Robinson is a fan too, describing it as “powerful and thoroughbred.”
