Erni Loosen’s Villa Wolf estate is now run by a new generation of young people -winemakers Patrick Moellendorf and Sumi Gebauer are a couple who met whilst working for him.
Their Pinot Noir is aged in 50% French oak. Light bodied but with juicy fruit this could be drunk lightly chilled.
A perfect lunchtime wine.
Germany is the 3rd largest producer of Pinot Noir after Burgundy and California, so if you though all German wine was sweet and white think again!
